BASEBOOK gives you self-custodial, permissionless access to synthetic stock and crypto exposure onchain on Base. That freedom comes with real risk and real responsibility. By using BASEBOOK you confirm you understand and accept the following.

01 Not financial advice

BASEBOOK is a software interface, not a broker, dealer, exchange, or advisor. Nothing on this site, including AI-generated theses, signals, leaderboards, or price data, is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Do your own research and make your own decisions.

02 You are trading synthetic exposure

Positions opened through BASEBOOK are synthetic derivatives settled in stablecoins via Gains Network's smart contracts on Base. You are not buying or owning the underlying stock, share, or company.

• No shareholder rights, no voting, no dividends, no ownership.
• Price exposure only, your P&L tracks an oracle price feed, which can differ from the real-world market price.
• Ticker symbols and company names are the property of their respective owners. BASEBOOK is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the referenced companies.

03 Leverage & liquidation

Leverage multiplies both gains and losses. A small adverse price move, amplified by leverage, can liquidate your position and consume your entire collateral plus fees. Borrowing fees, funding, and closing fees accrue against open positions. Liquidation can happen at any time, including outside of traditional market hours, and is not guaranteed to execute at any particular price.

04 Self-custody & smart-contract risk

BASEBOOK is non-custodial. You connect your own wallet and sign your own transactions; BASEBOOK never holds, controls, or has access to your funds or keys. This means:

• You are solely responsible for your wallet, keys, and transactions. Lost keys = lost funds. There is no password reset and no support desk that can recover your assets.
• Smart contracts (Gains Network and others) carry risk of bugs, exploits, oracle failure, or economic attack. The BASEBOOK frontend is provided as-is and may contain errors.
• Onchain transactions are irreversible.

05 No KYC means it's on you

BASEBOOK does not collect identity documents and does not screen users. Permissionless access does not mean unrestricted by law. You are solely responsible for ensuring that using BASEBOOK is legal in your jurisdiction. Synthetic, leveraged, and derivative products are restricted or prohibited for some persons and in some places (including, in many cases, US persons and residents of sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions). If it is not legal for you, do not use this site.

06 Points & $BASEBOOK

Points, season rankings, and any reference to a $BASEBOOK token are pre-launch and carry no guarantee of value, distribution, timing, or future existence. Do not trade expecting a token reward. Nothing here is an offer or solicitation to buy any token or security.

07 No warranty

BASEBOOK is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Prices, data, and AI outputs may be delayed, inaccurate, or wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of BASEBOOK are not liable for any losses or damages arising from your use of the site, the underlying protocols, or reliance on any information presented.
